Commercial interest in perchlorates began in the late 1890s/early 1900s in Europe and the United States as a direct result of the pioneering efforts in rockets and their propulsion systems (Mendiratta et al. 1996). The production of ammonium perchlorate, the largest component of solid rocket propellants, far outpaced that of the other perchlorates listed in Table 4-1. Their commercial manufactu...

Metronidazolium perchlorate

IN THE CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF THE TITLE COMPOUND [SYSTEMATIC NAME: 1-(2-hy-droxy-eth-yl)-2-methyl-5-nitro-1H-imidazol-3-ium perchlorate], C(6)H(10)N(3)O(3) (+)·ClO(4) (-), the cations are linked by inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into zigzag chains along the c axis. The cations and anions are connected by O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. A weak intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond is also obse...

Morpholinium perchlorate

In the title salt, C(4)H(10)NO(+)·ClO(4) (-), which has three independent formula units, the cations are linked into chains along [100] by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Each cation acts both as a donor and as an acceptor, and every cation makes one N-H⋯O hydrogen bond with a ClO(4) (-) anion. The crystal studied was an inversion twin.

Adeninium perchlorate

IN THE TITLE SALT (SYSTEMATIC NAME: 6-amino-9H-purin-1-ium perchlorate), C(5)H(6)N(5) (+)·ClO(4) (-), the adeninium cation is essentially planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.038 (1) Å. The whole of the perchlorate anion is disordered over two sets of sites with an occupancy ratio of 0.589 (13):0.411 (13). In the crystal, the adeninium cations are linked by pairs of N-H⋯N hydrogen bond into in...
